Statistics: Russia’s CPI at 0.8% in November, 12.1% from January 1
MOSCOW, Dec 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation index (CPI) rose to 0.8% in November from 0.7% in October and stood at 12.1% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report Friday.
Annual inflation decreased to 15% in November from 15.6% in October.
Russia’s food inflation amounted to 1.2% in November after 1% in October. Annual food inflation slowed down to 16.3% from 17.3%.
Prices for cucumbers and tomatoes went up about 70% and 30%, while cabbage prices rose 9.9%. But lemons became 6.3% cheaper, and prices for carrots decreased by 3.4% and for beetroot, apples and pears by 1.2–1.9%.
Prices for herring went up 3.7%, for canned fish 1.6% and for frozen fish 1.4%. But prices for alive and chilled fish fell by 0.5%, for pork by 1.2% and for lamb meat, poultry and millet by 0.1–0.6%.
